Lance Kelly
Lance is graduating today with Magna Cum Laude honors from our second Radiation Therapy cohort. This program prepares students to administer radiation treatments for cancer patients. Lance lost two grandparents to cancer, and he understands the compassion needed for cancer patients who must endure treatments. Lance chose Radiation Therapy as his career because he knows he is called to serve cancer patients.
Lance received overwhelming support on his journey, including Wallace State’s Presidential Scholarship and Alabama Power’s Future Foundation Scholarship, which alleviated his financial concerns. He also received tremendous moral support from instructors, family, church family and friends.
As a Wallace State student, Lance was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Alpha Chi Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
By the way, Lance is a third generation Wallace State Lion. His grandmother, Vicki Brasher, and mother, Michele Kelly are both educators and Wallace State alumni.
Lance, we congratulate you on your accomplishment and your commitment to helping others in their time of need. Good luck as you begin your promising career as a Radiation Therapist.
