Jordan Dean
Jordan is a person who never gave up and it is because of that determination that she graduates today from Wallace State’s Dental Hygiene program.
Jordan is the youngest of five children and the first on both sides of her family to graduate college. She didn’t graduate high school, dropping out instead to help her single parent mom. She eventually earned her GED and started taking classes at another community college in 2012, where she had a goal of entering nursing school. That dream was deferred when she was not accepted. She told herself it was all in God’s timing and took a break from college to welcome her newborn son, Hunter. She eventually was accepted to nursing school when Hunter was an infant, but after COVID, she decided she wanted to pursue a different career path, applying to Wallace State’s Dental Hygiene program and placed initially on the wait list. Then, she was excited to receive the call that a seat opened and she was in! Jordan said the road to get here has not been an easy one, but her son, husband and family have been her motivation to push through.
Jordan, we congratulate you on your perseverance that has seen you through and wish you the best of luck as you begin your career as a Dental Hygienist.
