Wallace State maintains a special partnership with Kenya Relief, and sends one team each year as part of a Kenya Relief International Service Learning/Global Outreach Educational Project. Click here to learn more about this initiative.

Wallace State Community College is also a member of the Institute of International Education (IIE), a U.S. State Department affiliate, which administers programs and scholarships for students to engage in international opportunities and connects students and professionals to other organizations committed to study abroad.

Students interested in other International Service Learning Programs are encouraged to investigate opportunities offered through one of the Institute for International Education's partner organizations, including these:

Please be sure to check with your Advisor and the Financial Aid Office to discuss the impact of participation on your course of study and future financial aid eligibilty. In most instances, federal financial aid will not cover the cost of service learning programs, however individual or group fundraising may be possible.
