Scholarships Policies & Procedures
Important Information
-
-
Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and are not guaranteed solely based on meeting minimum requirements in each category. The submission of a scholarship application does not guarantee a scholarship offer.
-
Scholarship applications cannot be saved. It is highly recommended that applicants log in to review the required information before starting the application. You may return to complete and submit the application in a later session. Once you have submitted the scholarship application, you cannot edit or submit again.
-
Scholarships are applicable only to Fall and Spring terms. Summer scholarships are generally not available, with the exception of the Summer Honors Scholarship for dual enrollment students only.
-
Weighted High School GPA (if applicable): Accepted for initial scholarship offers. The initial offer will be based on the 6th or 7th semester high school GPA for first-time freshmen (FTF) and the final high school GPA for high school graduates.
-
ACT Composite Score: The composite ACT score is used in determining scholarship offers. No “super-scoring” will be applied. The final test accepted for scholarship consideration is the February ACT test date.
-
"Full Tuition" covers the cost of tuition for up to 16 credit hours per semester. However, this does not include the cost of books, department-specific fees, or any additional fees associated with your program.
-

Scholarship and Funding Guidelines
Students can only receive one institutional scholarship. However, students may be eligible for additional funding such as: ·
-
- Future Foundation Scholarships
- External Scholarships
- Financial Aid (grants, loans, work-study)
Maintaining Renewable Scholarships (Two Year Awards)
To maintain renewable scholarships, students must meet the following conditions:
- Term GPA Requirement: At the end of each term, students must meet the institutional term GPA as specified by their scholarship. If the student falls below the required GPA, they will be placed on probation for one semester.
- Probationary Period: Students who fail to meet the required GPA at the conclusion of their probationary period will have their scholarship terminated. Students may appeal the termination by submitting an appeal to the Scholarship Committee.
- Failure Greater than One GPA Point: If a student’s term GPA falls greater than one GPA point below the required GPA, the probationary period will be bypassed, and the scholarship will be immediately terminated.
Returning Student Scholarship Appeals
Students who fail to meet GPA requirements after the probationary period and have their scholarship terminated may appeal the decision. The deadline to appeal is two business days prior to the start of classes for the upcoming term.
