Wallace State's extensive and growing collection of research materials includes books, periodicals, microfilm, microfiche, computer programs, family folders and more. Some sources cover the entire United States. The collection is centered on Alabama, neighboring states, the Old South, Kentucky, the Civil War and Cherokee Indians.

Non-credit Genealogy classes are periodically offered through the Wallace State Center for Career and Workforce Development's Continuing Education program.
