Dining on Campus
Wallace State students, employees, and visitors enjoy a variety of meal options on campus. Local restaurants and fast-food establishments are also located within a short walk or drive from campus.
Wally's Grill and WSCC Cafe
Wally's Grill is located in the Gudger Student Center. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Grill offers a variety of hot sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries, onion rings, salad, soup, and more. The WSCC Cafe is located in the School of Nursing and Center for Science and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The cafe offers salads, cold sandwiches, pizza, smoothies, coffee, hot chocolate, bagels, yogurt, and more. Visit the Grill and Cafe Facebook page for Soup of the Day updates and more information.
The Grill and Cafe are where Residence Hall students who are enrolled in the Meal Plan take their meals, which include hot meal options for dinner.
Dining with Wallace State's Culinary Arts Program
The Wallace State Culinary Arts program serves lunch most Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Cafe at the School of Nursing and Center for Science, located at the north end of campus. All meals are $5 each, including a choice of tea or water. Tax is included. The menu features gourmet as well as lighter fare, and rotates approximately monthly. Notifications of dates and menus are sent to your WSCC email.

Wallace State's Culinary Arts program will feature a Mardi Gras inspried menu. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Peinhardt Conference Center in the School of Nursing and Center for Science. Meals are $5 each and include a drink of tea or water.
Salad: Mardi Gras Gumbo Ya-Ya
A refreshing bed of Romaine lettuce paired with succulent grilled chicken, all drizzled in that beloved classic Caesar dressing. Finished off with a sprinkle of shaved Parmesan and vibrant grape tomatoes (because green is good, right?).
Soup: Classic Cheesy Potato Soup with Irish Pretzel knots
Indulge in a delightful potato soup that’s light yet creamy, packed with rich cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh leeks. All these ingredients are lovingly simmered together with a touch of cream and fragrant herbs. And what better way to enjoy this comfort food than with a warm, freshly baked soft pretzel knot? We know pretzels hail from Germany, but we also know you can’t resist one!
Sandwich: Classic Rembrandt Club
Experience a refreshing twist on the beloved Reuben sandwich. We start with hearty rye bread, stacked with Swiss cheese, chilled corned beef, turkey, and crispy bacon, crowned with fresh tomato and a creamy coleslaw. It’s all brought together with our house-made Russian dressing. Enjoy it with your choice of chips for the perfect crunch!
Entrée: Honey Ale Grilled Pork Chop with Roasted Yukon Gold Potato
Pork and potatoes are staples of Irish cuisine, making this dish a perfect choice. Imagine a thick-cut, tender chop, glazed in a delightful blend of light ale, honey, and sweet chili, all paired with crispy, golden potatoes. We've discovered a culinary treasure, and this is it.

Food for Thought
The Wallace State Campus Ministries organization hosts its Food For Thought meal on the first and third Monday of each month, as the schedule allows, in the Student Center Lobby, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Area churches bring in food to serve in support of the program. A donation of at least $2 is encouraged, with funds used to support student mission trips. Keep an eye on the Wallace State Calendar of Events for dates.
Food Trucks
On occasion, the Wallace State Alumni Association will invite food trucks on campus. Alumni Association members are usually given a discount of some kind during these visits. Keep an eye on the Wallace State Calendar of Events for dates.
