Wallace State Preview Days Offer Information, Fun for Students and Families

Wallace State will host two preview days on Thursday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 24.

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College will host two preview days this month to give prospective students and their families an opportunity to explore academic programs, student resources and campus life at Wallace State. WSCC alumni and community members are also welcome to enjoy the activities.

“Preview Day is one of the best opportunities for prospective students and their families to experience Wallace State firsthand," said Kristen Holmes, Vice President for Students. "Visitors can meet faculty and staff, explore our programs and support services, and learn how Wallace State can help them achieve their educational and career goals. We encourage anyone considering college to join us and see what makes Wallace State such a special place."

Preview Days will be held Thursday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 24. Both events will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting in the James C. Bailey Center. Each event offers a chance to explore the college’s academic, applied technology and health science programs, dual enrollment opportunities, student services and campus life.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with faculty, staff and current students while learning about scholarship opportunities, workforce training programs, athletic teams and extracurricular activities available at Wallace State.

Attendees will have access to:

  • Instructional programs and department showcases
  • Information sessions from Advising, Admissions and Financial Aid
  • Campus tours
  • FAFSA and admission application assistance
  • Student organization fair

Activities for children of all ages will be offered during both events, including face painting and pumpkin painting. Campus tours will be given as hayrides on both days and a bounce house will on hand on Oct. 24.

Preview Days are free and open to the public. Future students, parents, guardians, alumni and community members are encouraged to attend. Registration information and additional details are available at wallacestate.edu/previewday.

The Fall 2026 semester is currently underway, with Mini Term II classes beginning Oct. 14. Priority registration for Spring 2027 classes begins Oct. 19, with classes starting Jan. 8 for Regular and Mini Term I and March 8 for Mini Term II.
