HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The 10th-ranked Wallace State women's basketball team continued its undefeated start to the season with a dominant 62–31 home win over East Mississippi Community College on Thursday night at Traditions Bank Arena.

The Lions controlled the game from the opening tip, jumping out to a 12–5 first-quarter lead before putting together a smothering second period that pushed the advantage to 24–7 at halftime. Wallace State continued to impose its will in the third, stretching the margin to 42–21 entering the fourth quarter and cruising the rest of the way.

It was a complete performance on both ends of the floor. Wallace State overwhelmed the EMCC Lady Lions on the glass, winning the rebounding battle 59–29, and forced 14 turnovers that stalled any chance of an East Mississippi comeback.

Zamyra Goode led the Lions offensively with 12 points and six rebounds, while Taylor Smith delivered a strong double-double with 10 points and 10 boards. Nia Smith added eight points and five rebounds, and Sinaya Gibson provided seven points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Bailey Tetro continued her steady play with nine points and four assists, and Idaysia Mercer contributed across the board with seven points, six rebounds and four assists. Freshman forward Kameron Sanders turned in one of the night's standout efforts, hauling down a career-high 17 rebounds to go with six points.

Wallace State improves to 7–0 and will now enjoy a short break before returning to action on Dec. 3 with a road trip to Volunteer State in Gallatin, Tenn.
