Emma Kile was named the ACCC Conference MVP.

Wallace State flag football continues to rewrite history in its inaugural season, and on the eve of the ACCC Conference Championships, two of the program’s biggest leaders were honored for their remarkable performances. Quarterback Emma Kile was named the ACCC Conference MVP, while head coach Daniel Howard earned ACCC Coach of the Year after guiding the Lions to an astounding 18-0 record in their first-ever season.

Kile has been nothing short of spectacular under center, turning in one of the most dominant statistical campaigns in the nation. She finished the regular season with 4,529 passing yards and a jaw-dropping 92 touchdown passes, while also adding six rushing touchdowns and one receiving score. Her production—and poise—have been central to Wallace State’s undefeated run.

“I am honored to be chosen as the first league MVP,” Kile said. “But I could not have done it without all of my receivers and teammates.”

Daniel HowardHoward, who built the program from the ground up this season, has led the Lions to immediate conference prominence. Under his direction, Wallace State has combined explosive offense with relentless defense, outscoring opponents by wide margins throughout the fall.

“This is a team award,” Howard said. “I could not have won it without the success of the players and coaches.”

The undefeated Lions now turn their attention to championship weekend. Wallace State will take the field in the ACCC Conference Championship semifinals at 2:30 p.m., where they will face the winner of Snead State vs. Bishop State. With an unbeaten record and two major conference awards already in hand, the Lions are poised and motivated as they chase the program’s first championship.
