Wallace State Secures Commanding Victory Over Coastal Alabama - South
Hanceville, AL – Wallace State Community College continued its dominant season with
a decisive 68-43 road victory over Coastal Alabama - South. The Lions controlled the
game from start to finish, utilizing a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense
to secure another impressive win.
Kallie Tinker led all scorers with 20 points, sinking four three-pointers and shooting
50 percent from the field. Nylaa Fuller showcased her all-around skills, posting 15
points and grabbing 8 rebounds, while Idaysia Mercer contributed 13 points, 5 rebounds,
and 5 assists.
Wallace State set the tempo early, outscoring Coastal Alabama 15-11 in the first quarter before pulling away with a dominant 19-6 second quarter. The Lions shot 41.1 percent from the field and knocked down nine three-pointers, while their aggressive defense forced 13 turnovers and held Coastal Alabama to just 33.3 percent shooting.
