Wallace State Defeats Marion Military Institute 119-92
Wallace State Community College showcased a commanding performance on their home court,
defeating Marion Military Institute 119-92 in an electrifying game at Traditions Bank
Arena. The Lions unleashed an offensive barrage in the second half, scoring an impressive
71 points to secure their eighth win of the season.
Sophomore guard Josh Paige delivered a stellar performance, leading the Lions with
24 points, including five three-pointers and an efficient 9-for-12 from the field.
Kami Young added 23 points, going 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and dishing out six
assists. Freshman Kendarius Anderson contributed 18 points and four assists, sinking
five three-pointers of his own.
Wallace State controlled the paint, with Christian Thompson grabbing a game-high 12
rebounds while adding nine points and three blocks. The Lions' bench also made a significant
impact, led by Viczavious Madden, who scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds
in just 15 minutes of action.
The Lions shot an impressive 50.6 percent from the field and connected on 17 three-pointers,
demonstrating their depth and versatility. Wallace State also capitalized on Marion
Military Institute's mistakes, turning them into 22 points off turnovers.
