Hanceville, AL — Wallace State Community College’s Center for Career and Workforce Development recently welcomed REHAU Automotive to its Powerful Partnerships program. The initiative brings together the college and area businesses to drive workforce development and economic growth.

Among the incentives offered to partners in the program is a 10 percent discount on tuition to employees, which is something REHAU Automotive Human Resource Manager Jana Schroeder said she is particularly excited about.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for us to continue supporting not only the community but our employees who want to develop themselves,” Schroeder said. “We also have partnerships with Wallace State for different apprenticeship programs. I think this partnership is just another great step to support both.”

Along with the tuition discount for employees, other benefits provided to businesses and industry that join the Powerful Partnership program include:

  • Complimentary access to meeting spaces at the Wallace State Workforce Training Center
  • Wallace State Alumni Memberships for up to five employees
  • Special sponsor rate for the Wallace State Future Foundation Student Investment Luncheon
  • Access to a pipeline of workers prepared for internships, apprenticeships, and employment through priority registration for Industry Comes to Wallace State
