Lions Triumph Over Motlow State with a 95-82 Victory
Wallace State Community College continued their strong season with a decisive 95-82
victory over Motlow State Community College at the Nesbitt Center on Tuesday, November
12. The Lions’ dynamic offense and standout individual performances led the way in
their latest road win.
Sophomore guard Kami Young delivered a stellar performance, scoring a game-high 35
points, including six three-pointers, and shooting an impressive 7-of-8 from the free-throw
line. Young also contributed six assists, driving the Lions’ offensive success.
Freshman forward Viczavious Madden provided a crucial spark off the bench, adding
14 points while shooting 87.5 percent from the field. Sophomore forward Antonio Cochran
also made his presence felt with 12 points and four rebounds.
Wallace State outshot Motlow State with a 52.7 percent field goal percentage compared
to their opponent’s 41.4 percent.
The Lions’ defensive intensity, led by sophomore center Christian Thompson, held the
Bucks to 34.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc while forcing 14 turnovers. Wallace
State’s balanced attack and disciplined play ensured their control throughout the
game, leading by 12 points at halftime and maintaining their advantage until the final
whistle.
