Wallace State Cruises Past Reinhardt University JV
The Wallace State Lions delivered dominant performance at their home opener on Nov.3, 2024, as they steamrolled Reinhardt University JV with a 117-65 victory at Traditions Bank Arena in the Tom Drake Coliseum.
Kendarius Anderson, a sophomore guard, set the tone early, scoring 10 of his 15 points
in the first half.
Sophomore forward Christian Thompson dominated the paint, grabbing eight rebounds
and scoring efficiently inside. Freshman guard Sawyer Griffin came off the bench to
sink four three-pointers, sparking a 12-point contribution.
At halftime, Wallace State led by a comfortable margin, thanks to their 50 percent
shooting from the field and 38.6% from beyond the arc.
The Lions continued to pour on the pressure after the break. Freshman forward Caden
Johnson had a standout performance, scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Sophomore guard Kami Young added 13 points, including key buckets from beyond the
arc. The Lions’ bench players shone, with Caleb Paige scoring 8 points in just 11
minutes, showcasing the depth of Wallace State's roster.
The Lions’ defense remained tenacious, forcing turnovers and limiting Reinhardt’s
offensive opportunities. Wallace State’s dominance on the boards was evident, as they
outrebounded Reinhardt 50-24.
