Lions Dominate Snead State in Season Opener
In an electrifying season opener on the road at Plunkett Wallace Gymnasium, the Wallace
State Lions demonstrated their dominance with a resounding 101-65 victory over the
Snead State Parsons. A balanced team effort, sharp shooting, and relentless defense
propelled the Lions to a statement win.
Guard Kami Young led the charge, sinking four three-pointers in the first half. Forward
Antonio Cochran showcased his versatility, grabbing key rebounds. By halftime, the
Lions had established a commanding 45-30 lead.
Kendarius Anderson dazzled the crowd with his three-point shooting, sinking four three-pointers
and finishing with 16 points. Young continued to impress, leading all scorers with
21 points, including six three-pointers.
Christian Thompson anchored the defense with nine rebounds and added seven points.
The Lions' bench also made significant contributions, with Sawyer Griffin and Kohl
Key each chipping in nine points. Freshman guard Josh Paige displayed his playmaking
skills, dishing out two assists and scoring seven points.
