Women's Basketball secures 71-39 victory over Cleveland State

Hanceville, AL — The Wallace State Lady Lions secured a 71-39 victory against Cleveland State Community College at Traditions Bank Arena in Tom Drake Coliseum on Dec. 16, 2023.

Led by Layla Etchison of Hoover's performance with 22 points, including three three-pointers, Wallace State's offense proved strong. Jaden Winfrey of Cullman contributed a strong offensive stride with a total of 17 points, while Ella Collum of Cullman's all-around game showcased her versatility with eight rebounds and four assists, alongside four points.

Defensively, Wallace State limited Cleveland State's scoring opportunities and forced turnovers, allowing them to stifle Cleveland State's offense, holding them to only 39 points for the entire game.
