Wallace State defeats Snead State 83-81
Hanceville, AL – In a close matchup at home, the Wallace State Community College men's basketball team secured a narrow victory against Snead State Community College, winning 83-81 in a hard-fought battle.
The game saw both teams exchanging blows throughout all four quarters, with neither side willing to give an inch.
Wallace State's resilience proved to be the difference-maker. Freshman guard Jimmie Williams emerged as a scoring machine for the home team, dropping 22 points and dishing out six assists. Sophomore guard Jalen Anglin provided crucial support with 17 points, while freshman guard Authur Johnson and sophomore forward Kobe Gibbs contributed 15 and 14 points respectively to the scoreboard. Freshman guard Tyson Walker netted seven points.
The game came down to the wire, with both teams trading baskets in the final minutes. But Wallace State managed to hold on to their slim lead, securing a hard-earned victory on their home court.
The win brings the Lions record to 11-3 for the season.
