Lady Lions defeat Roane State Community College 75-51

Hanceville, AL — The Wallace State Community College women's basketball team secured a 75-51 victory against Roane State Community College at Traditions Bank Arena in Tom Drake Coliseum on Dec. 9, 2023.

Led by a strong offensive performance, the Lady Lions maintained control throughout the game, finishing the first half with a 47-27 lead. Jaden Winfrey of Cullman led the charge with 23 points, while Layla Etchison of Hoover contributed 21 points and Emariah Grant of Huntsville added 11 points along with six assists. Nylaa Fuller of Huntsville grabbed a total of seven rebounds.

Wallace State's defense was effective in executing turnovers throughout the game, limiting Roane State's scoring opportunities. Throughout the game, the Lady Lions racked up a total of 33 rebounds.
