Wallace State edges out Motlow State 74-71
Hanceville, AL - Wallace State Community College men’s basketball team’s defense helped lead the Lions to a victory over Motlow State Community College on the Bucks home court.
Wallace State's defensive tenacity, highlighted by their nine steals and two blocks, helped tipped the scales in their favor.
Offensively, the Lions’ efforts were led by standout performances from several key players. Sophomore guard Jalen Anglin of Jackson, Tenn., was a force to be reckoned with, leading the team with 19 points. Freshman guard Authur Johnson came off the bench to score 15 points. Sophomore center PJ Eason of Dadeville and freshman guard Tyson Walker of Des Moines, Iowa, added 10 points each. Freshman guard Jimmie Williams of Cleveland, Ohio, contributed seven points and an impressive 11 rebounds.
With the win, the LIons improve their record to 9-1 for the season.
