Wallace State win close game on the road 96-94

Hanceville, AL - Wallace State Community College’s men’s basketball came out on top in a close 96-94 win on the road against Marion Military Institute, improving their season record to 8-1.

Wallace State's Jimmie Williams, a freshman guard from Cleveland, Ohio, set the tone early, leading his team in scoring with 18 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds and five assists, helped keep the Lions competitive throughout the game.

PJ Eason, a sophomore center from Dadeville, scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, making his own mark in the game.

As the game progressed, both teams traded baskets in a back-and-forth battle. Wallace State's three-point shooting, led by freshman guard Kami Young's four triples, kept them within striking distance.

In the end, it came down to the wire, with Wallace State narrowly edging out Marion Military Institute by a final score of 96-94.

Sophomore guard Jalen Anglin of Jackson, Tenn., scored 15 points with three assists and two steals. Freshman guard Authur Johnson of Carrollton, Ga., scored 14 points and had two rebounds and four assists. Young, of Kennesaw, Ga., scored 13 points.
