Men’s basketball defeats TN Valley Prep 104-80
Hanceville, AL - Wallace State Community College men’s basketball team defeated Tennessee Valley Prep 104-80 on Nov. 16.
Wallace State came out strong with precision passing and sharp shooting. Led by standout players like freshmen guards Jimmie Williams and Authur Johnson, they quickly built a commanding lead.
Tennessee Valley Prep, however, refused to back down. With swift transitions and tenacious defense, they fought their way back into the game, narrowing the gap.
As the clock ticked down, freshman guard Kendarius Anderson came through with his three-point shooting, while sophomore forward Kobe Gibbs dominated the boards.
In the final moments, Wallace State's sophomore center PJ Eason of Dadeville, delivered a crucial defensive stop, igniting a fast break that sealed the deal for his team.
Johnson, of Carrolton, Ga., scored 20 points in the game. Williams, of Cleveland, Ohio, scored 17. Anderson, of Tuscumbia, and Gibbs of Bartow, Fla., each scored 15. Sophomore guard Jalen Anglin of Jackson, Tenn., added 10 points to the scoreboard.
