Women’s Basketball defeats Snead State 66-35

Hanceville, AL — The Wallace State Community College Women’s Basketball team secured a 66-35 victory over Snead State Community College on Nov. 9, 2023.

Wallace State's offense was led by Emariah Grant of Huntsville, who scored 18 points, including two three-pointers. She also contributed five rebounds and six assists.

Kallie Tinker of Pisgah was another standout, hitting five three-pointers for a total of 15 points.

Jaden Winfrey of Cullman added 14 points and three assists, while Nylaa Fuller of Huntsville contributed seven points and six rebounds.

Layla Etchison of Hoover scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds.

Overall, the Lady Lions shot 41.1 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from beyond the arc and 75 percent from the free-throw line. They also recorded 29 total rebounds, 15 assists and 12 steals.

The game saw strong defensive efforts from Wallace State, limiting Snead State's opportunities and keeping them off the scoreboard for most of the game.
